THE INFLUENCE OF FINANCIAL LITERACY AND FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY ON PERSONAL FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AMONG GENERATION Z IN SUBANG REGENCY

This study investigates the influence of financial literacy and financial technology (fintech) on personal financial management among Generation Z in Subang Regency. Employing a quantitative approach, primary data were collected from 51 respondents through an online questionnaire. The findings reveal that financial literacy has a positive and significant impact on personal financial management, while financial technology, although positively related, does not show a statistically significant effect. However, both variables together exert a significant influence on financial behavior. The results highlight the importance of strengthening financial knowledge and promoting responsible fintech usage to improve the financial decision-making and independence of Generation Z in the digital era. This research provides insights for educators, policymakers, and fintech providers in designing more effective financial education and technological solutions tailored to the needs of young digital natives
